    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Cloud and accounts”
    3. Tap “Backup & Restore”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when signing in with the backup account or reinstalling apps

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Access “Cloud and account”
    3. Tap “Accounts”
    4. Select the account you want to use for the backup
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    Back Up Contacts to SD Storage:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
    3. Switch to “All contacts” if necessary
    4. Tap “Import/Export”
    5. Tap “Export to SD” > “OK”

    Back Up Media Files on the Phone Storage:

    1. Launch “My Files”
    2. Go to “Internal storage”
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Share”
    4. Select the desired contacts
    5. Tap “Share” again and select a location for the backup

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer through the USB port
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” on the phone
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Navigate to the media files located on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once done, safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: You can skip the first 2 steps if Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac.

    1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac and go to https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/kies
    2. Click “Download for Mac” and install the app on the computer
    3. Connect the Android device to the Mac via USB
    4. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer’
    5. Launch Kies on the Mac
    6. Go to the “Back up / Restore” tab
    7. Access the “Backup” tab and check the tick boxes associated with “Photos” “Music” and other media file types you want to back up
    8. Click “Backup”
    9. After the process is done, eject the phone storage by dragging the virtual drive from the desktop and dropping it over the trash can
