    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the device’s connectivity features when not actively in use, including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. From the quick toggle area, tap the “Wi-Fi”, “Location” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to disable the features

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Under “Wireless & Networks” tap “More”
    3. Access “Mobile networks”
    4. Tap “Preferred network type” and enable “2G”

NOTE: You can try to improve your device’s battery life by reducing the amount of data synced by your accounts and apps.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Personal” > “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes that can affect battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third-party apps, you may improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps” and switch to “All apps”
    3. Select the desired app
    4. To turn the app off, tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    5. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if a new update is available, and if applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process (NOTE: the update will require you to reboot the device at least once)
