Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. On the homescreen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease brightness
    3. Open “Settings” and tap “Display” under “Device”
    4. Optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
    5. For timeout settings, tap “Sleep” and select a lower value like “15 seconds”

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery” > “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use – including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Location (GPS) – to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Location” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to turn the features Off
    3. Open “Settings” for more options
    4. Go to “Location” for GPS settings, tap “mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. For hotspot, return to “Settings”
    6. Then tap “more” under “Wireless & Networks”
    7. Tap “Tethering & portable hotspot” and set the switch Off

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect battery life even when not actively in use. You can disable or remove unused third-party apps from the phone to potentially improve battery life.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps” and ensure “All apps” is selected
    3. Tap the desired app
    4. To turn the app off, tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    5. To remove the app, tap “uninstall”

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “more” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks”
    4. Tap “Preferred network type”
    5. Enable “2G”

    Reduce Sync:

NOTE: You can change your accounts’ settings to reduce the amount of data synced by your accounts and apps.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Accounts” and select an account type
    4. Select the desired account and change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: Software updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if a new update is available
    5. If available, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
