    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Cloud and accounts”
    3. Tap “Backup & Restore”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account or when you reinstall apps

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Access “Cloud and accounts”
    3. Go to “Accounts”
    4. Select an account type and the account you want to use for the backup
    5. Make sure the “Contacts” tick box is checked
    6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    Back Up Contacts to SD Storage:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
    3. If necessary, switch to “All contacts”
    4. Tap “Import/Export”
    5. Select to “Export to SD” > “OK”

    Back Up Media Files to the Phone Storage:

    1. Open “My Files”
    2. Go to “Internal storage”
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Share”
    4. Select the desired contacts
    5. Tap “Share” and select a backup location

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac:

    NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps.

    1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Visit https://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/app/kies
    3. Click “Download for Mac” and install the app on the PC
    4. Connect the Android device to the Mac via USB
    5. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” on the phone
    6. Open Kies on the Mac and go to “Back up / Restore”
    7. Access “Backup”
    8. Tick the boxes associated with “Photos” “Music’ and other media file types you want to back up
    9. Click “Backup” to begin the process
    10. Once done, eject the phone storage by dragging the virtual drive from the desktop and dropping it over the “trash can” icon
    11. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
