    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Access “Personal” and tap “Backup & Reset
    3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to be restored automatically the next time you reinstall apps or sign in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the desired account for syncing
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account, or by manually syncing the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the computer storage
    6. Once the process is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media backup files on the PC
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    6. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
