Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. Drag the slider towards the left to decrease brightness
    3. Open “Settings” for more options
    4. Go to “Display” and optionally turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
    5. For timeout options, tap “Sleep’ and select a lower value

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery”
    4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use, such as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Location” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to turn the features Off
    3. Open “Settings” and go to “Location” for GPS options
    4. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. Return to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Tap “Tethering & Portable hotspot” and disable the feature

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Enable “2G”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform regular background processes and this can potentially affect the battery even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps from the phone, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps”
    3. Switch to “All apps” if necessary
    4. Select the desired application
    5. To disable the app, tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    6. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can potentially improve battery life in the long run by minimizing the amount of data synced by your accounts and apps.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type
    4. Select the desired account
    5. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone” > “System updates”
    3. Check if new updates are available
    4. If applicable, follow the on-screen steps to download and install the update (the update process will require you to reboot the phone at least once)
