    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
    3. Launch “Settings” for more options and go to “Display”
    4. Optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
    5. For timeout options, tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout value such as “15 seconds”

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Device’
    3. Tap “Battery” > “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

    NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features Off when not actively in use, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, and GPS, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Location” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to turn the features Off
    3. Open “Settings” for more options
    4. Go to “Location” and tap “Mode”
    5. Enable “Battery saving”
    6. Return to “Settings” and tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    7. Tap “Tethering & portable hotspot” and turn the features Off

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

    NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “More” under “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks”
    4. Go to “Preferred network type”
    5. Select “2G”

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: You can potentially improve battery life in the long run by changing your account settings to reduce sync.

    1. Open “Settings” and go to “Accounts”
    2. Select an account type and the desired account
    3. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes that can potentially affect the phone’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. You can disable or remove unused third-party apps to potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps” > “All apps”
    3. Select the desired app
    4. To turn the app off, tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    5. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Keep the OS Updated:

    NOTE: Software updates can improve battery life and as such it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available and if applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update (the process will require you to reboot the device at least once)
