    NOTE: You can visit this thread for a guide on how to back up contacts, media files, and app data on the device.

    Restore Contacts from SD Storage:

    1. Open “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu’ > “Settings”
    3. If necessary, tap “Contacts to display” and select “All contacts”
    4. Access “Import/Export contacts” > “Import from SD card”
    5. Tap “OK”

    Restore Media Files from SD Storage:

    1. Launch “My Files”
    2. Go to “SD Card” and tap “Menu” > “Edit”
    3. Tick the check boxes associated with the media files you want to restore
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Move” > “Internal storage”
    5. Tap “Move here” or “Create folder” and select the folder name
    6. When ready tap “Move here”

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Android phone and PC
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    6. After the transfer ends, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Mac:

    1. Connect the Android device to the Mac via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open Kies on the Mac and access the “Back up / Restore” tab
    4. Go to “Restore” and tick the boxes associated with the media file types you want to restore
    5. Click “Restore” and follow the on-screen prompts
    6. After the process ends, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it over the “Trash can” to eject it
    7. Once done you can safely disconnect the device from the USB port
