    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Launch “Settings
    2. Go to “Personal
    3. Tap “Backup & Reset
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be automatically restored when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings” and go to “Accounts
    2. Select an account type and the desired account to use for syncing contacts
    3. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    4. Then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically when logging in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone
    5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the computer
    6. After the process completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files form a PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification shade
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Copy and paste the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    5. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
