    Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: if one of your apps doesn’t work as intended or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try solving these issues by clearing the app’s cache or data.

WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all your personal app data will be deleted, including login information, settings, save files etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app’s cache.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Phone” and tap “Apps”
    3. If necessary, switch to “All apps”
    4. Select the desired application and tap “Clear cache”
    5. If clearing the app cache didn’t help, tap “Clear data” > “OK” (check the WARNING above)

    Clear the Phone Cache Partition:

NOTE: When you wipe the cache partition you can solve various issues with your device, similar to a factory reset, without losing personal data from the phone.

    1. Turn the phone Off
    2. Press and hold “Volume down” then press and release “power”
    3. After the black screen with red and blue text, release the volume key
    4. In the menu, press “Volume down” repeatedly to highlight “Reboot to bootloader”
    5. Press “Power” to select he option
    6. In the bootloader menu, use “Volume down” to highlight “Boot to Recovery Mode” and press “Power”
    7. Once in Recovery, press “volume down” to highlight “Wipe cache partition” and press “Power” again to confirm
    8. At the “Reboot system now” highlight press “Power”

NOTE: If clearing the phone’s cache partition didn’t solve the issues, you can check this thread for instructions on how to factory reset the device instead.

Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall an App:

NOTE: If one of your third-party apps causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.

    1. Press and hold “Power” on the home screen
    2. In the pop-up, tap and hold “Power off”
    3. At the “Reboot to safe mode” prompt, tap “Restart” to confirm. Once the phone finishes rebooting, it should display a “Safe mode” watermark in the lower area of the home screen
    4. To remove an app, first open “Settings”
    5. Go to “Apps” and switch to “Downloaded” if necessary
    6. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
    7. After the process completes, exit Safe Mode by rebooting your phone normally
