    NOTE: You can check this thread for a guide on how to back up contacts, media files, and app data from the phone.

    Restore Contacts from SD Storage:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
    3. Go to “Contacts to display” and select “All contacts”
    4. Tap “Import/Export contacts”
    5. Tap “Import from SD card” > “OK”

    Restore Media Files from SD Storage:

    1. Open “My Files”
    2. Go to “SD card”
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Edit” and tick the boxes associated with the media file types you want to restore
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Move” > “Internal storage”
    5. Tap “Move here” or “Create folder” and select a folder name
    6. Tap “Move here” to confirm

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) of origin
    5. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Mac:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the Mac via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” one the phone, at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Open Kies on the Mac and go to the “Back up / Restore” tab
    4. Access “Restore” and tick the boxes associated with the media file types you want to restore
    5. Click “Restore” and follow the prompts
    6. After the process ends, eject the phone storage by dragging the virtual drive from the desktop and drop it over the trash can
    7. You can safely disconnect the device from the USB port
