    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open Settings
    2. Access Personal
    3. Tap Backup & Reset
    4. Enable Back up my data to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
    5. Enable Automatic Restore to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or logging in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Launch Settings
    2. Access Accounts
    3. Select an account type and the account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. Make sure Contacts is checked
    5. Tap Menu > Sync Now

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data with the device.

    Back Up Media Files on a PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Android phone and computer
    2. On the phone, enable Media device / File Transfer at the prompt or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
    2. On the phone, enable Media device / File Transfer when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
    5. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
