    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. In the quick toggle area, drag the brightness slider towards the left
    3. Open “Settings”
    4. Access” Display” and optionally turn “Adaptive brightness’ ON or OFF
    5. Tap “Sleep’ and select a lower value such as “15 seconds”

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Device” > “Battery”
    3. Tap “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

    NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use, such as Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Location” “Bluetooth” and “Wi-Fi” quick toggles to disable the features
    3. For more options open “Settings”
    4. Go to “Location” for GPS settings, tap “mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. Go back to “Settings” and expand the “Wireless & Networks” menu
    6. Turn “Tethering & mobile hotspot” OFF

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

    NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery pack, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by switching to 2G networks.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Expand “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Access “Mobile networks”
    4. Tap “Preferred network type” and enable “2G”

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: You can try and improve battery life by reducing the amount of data synced by your apps and accounts.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Third-party applications can perform regular background processes and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps, you can potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps”
    3. If necessary, switch to “All apps” or “Downloaded”
    4. Select the desired app and tap “Disable” / “Force Stop”
    5. Alternatively, tap “uninstall” to remove the app

    Keep the OS Up To Date:

    NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available
    5. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and install the update(s)
