Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    3. Open “Settings” for additional options

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Device” and tap “Battery”
    3. Tap “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when not actively in use, including Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Location” and “Bluetooth” quick toggles to turn the features Off
    3. Open “Settings” and access “Location” for GPS options
    4. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. Return to “Settings”
    6. Expand “Wireless & Networks” and disable “Tethering & Mobile hotspot”

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks”
    4. Tap “preferred network type”
    5. Enable “2G”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You might improve battery life in the long run by changing your account settings to reduce sync.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Tap an account type
    4. Select the desired account
    5. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform background processes that can potentially affect battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps”
    3. If necessary, select “Downloaded” or “All apps’
    4. Select the desired app
    5. Tap “Disable” / “Force Stop”
    6. To remove the app, tap “uninstall”

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available for download
    5. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and install the updates
