    Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: If one of your applications doesn’t work as intended, freezes, crashes, takes up too much storage inexplicably etc. alternatively you can try fixing these issues by clearing the app cache/data.

WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all your personal data stored within the app will be deleted. This includes custom settings, user profiles, save files etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app cache.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “General”
    3. Tap “Apps”
    4. Select the desired app
    5. Tap “Storage” > “Clear cache”
    6. If clearing the app cache didn’t help, tap “Clear data” > “OK” (check the WARNING above)

    Wipe the Phone’s Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your phone crashes, freezes, runs out of storage inexplicably or otherwise doesn’t work as intended and you’re considering a factory reset, alternatively you can try solving the issues by clearing the phone’s cache partition. This can have results similar to a factory reset without losing personal data from the device.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Phone Management”
    3. Tap “Storage” > “Internal storage”
    4. After the phone finishes calculating the data, tap “Cached data” > “Clear”

NOTE: If clearing the cache partition didn’t help, you can check this thread for a guide on how to factory reset the phone.

Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall an App:

NOTE: If one of your third-party apps causes issues and prevents you from removing it, alternatively you can remove the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.

    1. Press and hold “Power” on the home screen
    2. In the Power Management pop-up, tap and hold “Power off”
    3. At the “Reboot to Safe Mode” prompt, tap “OK”
    4. Once the phone finishes rebooting, a “Safe Mode” watermark should be visible in the lower area of the home screen
    5. To remove an app, open “Settings” then go to “Apps” > “All apps”
    6. Next, select the desired app
    7. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
    8. Once done, you can exit Safe Mode by rebooting your phone normally
