Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. From the quick toggle area, drag the brightness slider towards the left
    3. Open “Settings” and access “Display”
    4. Optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    5. For timeout options, tap “Sleep’ and select a lower value like “15 seconds”

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Device” > “Battery”
    3. Tap “Menu” and enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when they are not actively in use, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Bluetooth” and “Location” (GPS) quick toggles to turn the features off
    3. Open “Settings” for more options
    4. Go to “Location” then tap “mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. Go back to “Settings” and expand “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Tap and disable “Tethering & Mobile Hotspot”

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Expand “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Access “Mobile Networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Select “2G”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can potentially improve the device’s battery life by reducing the amount of data synced by your apps/accounts.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Select an account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect battery life even when the apps are not in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps you might improve battery life.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps” and switch to “All apps” or “Downloaded”
    3. Select the desired app
    4. Tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    5. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall” instead

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up dated at all times.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone” > “System updates”
    3. Check if new updates are available
    4. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and apply the update(s)
