    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery” > “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left in the quick toggle area
    3. Launch “Settings”
    4. Go to “Display” and enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    5. Tap “Sleep” timeout duration
    6. Select a lower value like “15 seconds”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when they are not actively in use, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot, and GPS to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. From the quick toggle area, tap “Bluetooth” “Wi-Fi” and “Location” quick toggles to disable the features
    3. Open “Settings”
    4. Go to “Location” for GPS options
    5. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    6. Expand “Wireless & Networks”
    7. Disable “Tethering & Mobile Hotspot”

    Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” and access “Preferred network type”
    4. Enable “2G”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect the phone’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third-party apps, you might improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps”
    3. Switch to “All apps” or “Downloaded
    4. Tap the desired app
    5. Tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    6. Alternatively, tap “Uninstall”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You might improve battery life by reducing the amount of data synced by your accounts.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and as such it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “About phone”
    3. Go to “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available and if applicable, follow the prompts to download and apply updates
