Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
    2. Drag the brightness slider towards the left
    3. Open “Settings” and access “Display”
    4. Optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
    5. For timeout options, access “Sleep” and select a lower value

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery” > “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when they are not actively in use to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. In the quick toggle area, tap the “Location” “Bluetooth” and “Wi-Fi” quick toggles to turn the features Off
    3. Open “Settings” and access “Location” for GPS settings
    4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. Return to “Settings” and expand “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Disable “Tethering & Mobile hotspot”

    Switch to 2G Temporarily:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Expand “Wireless & Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Enable “2G”

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect the phone’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps”
    3. Switch to “All apps” or “Downloaded”
    4. Select the desire app
    5. To turn the app off, tap “Force Stop” / ‘Disable”
    6. To remove the app, tap “uninstall”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You might be able to improve battery life in the long run by reducing the amount of data synced by your accounts or apps.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps”
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus, it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone” and tap “System updates”
    3. Check if new updates are available
    4. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and apply the updates
