    3. Open “Settings”
    4. Go to “Display” and optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
    5. For timeout options, tap “Sleep”
    6. Select a lower timeout value

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when they are not actively in use, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Bluetooth” “Location” and “Wi-Fi” quick toggles to turn the features Off
    3. Open “Settings” and go to “Location”
    4. Tap “Menu” and select “Battery saving”
    5. Return to “Settings” and expand “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Disable “Tethering & Mobile Hotspot”

    Switch to 2G Temporarily:

NOTE: If your device runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve energy until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

    1. Open “Settings” and expand “Wireless & Networks”
    2. Access “Mobile Networks”
    3. Tap “Preferred network type”
    4. Enable “2G”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can potentially improve battery life by reducing the amount of data synced by your accounts.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform regular background processes which can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By removing or disabling unused third-party apps, you can potentially improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Launch “Settings’
    2. Go to “Apps” and switch to “All apps” or “Downloaded”
    3. Select the desired app and tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    4. To remove the app, instead tap “Uninstall”

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “About phone” and tap “system updates”
    3. Check if new software updates are available for download
    4. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and apply the update
