Back Up & Restore App Data:

1. Open “Settings”
2. Access “Personal” and tap “Backup & Reset”
3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your backup account
4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be automatically restored when signing in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps

Back Up & Restore Contacts:

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Go to “Accounts”
3. Select an account type and the desired account, then ensure “Contacts” is checked
4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data – and contacts- with the phone.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” on the phone, when prompted or from the Notification area
3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
4. Locate the media files on the phone
5. Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC
6. After the process completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Restore Media Files from a PC:

1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media backup files
4. Copy and transfer the backup media files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
5. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
