Back Up & Restore App Data:

1. Open “Settings” and go to “Personal’
2. Tap “Backup & Reset”
3. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
4. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be automatically restored when reinstalling apps or signing in with the backup account

Back Up & Restore Contacts:

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Access “Accounts”
3. Select an account type and the desired account
4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts can be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account or by manually syncing the account data with the phone.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
4. Locate the media files on the phone
5. Copy the files and paste them to the desired backup location on the computer
6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Restore Media Files from a PC:

1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or form the Notification shade
3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer and navigate to the media backup files on the PC
4. Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
5. After the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
