    Clear App Cache or Data:

NOTE: If an application causes issues or doesn’t work as intended, you can try fixing the problems by clearing the app cache or data. WARNING when clearing the app data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted, including login and payment information, custom settings etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app cache.

    1. Swipe up on the home screen and open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Apps & Notifications”
    3. Ensure you view “All apps”
    4. Select the desired app and tap “Storage” > “Clear cache”
    5. If clearing the app cache didn’t solve the issues, tap “Clear data” (check the Warning above)

Reset Network/App Settings, or Factory Reset:

NOTE: Before factory resetting your phone, make sure you have backed up all of your important data, as all of it will be lost in the process.

    1. Swipe up on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “System” > “Reset options”
    4. To reset network settings, tap “Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth” then tap “Reset settings” twice
    5. To reset app settings tap “Reset app preferences” > “Reset Apps”
    6. To reset the phone to factory settings: Tap “Erase all data (factory reset)” then tap “Reset phone” > “Erase Everything” to confirm

Reboot to Safe Mode and Remove an App:

NOTE: If a third-party application causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default. To boot to Safe Mode and remove an app:

    1. Press and hold the “Power” button
    2. When prompted with the power management menu, tap and hold “Power off”
    3. Wait for the phone to restart. Once done, it should display a “Safe Mode” watermark in the lower area of the home screen
    4. To uninstall an app, open “Settings” and access “Apps & Notifications”
    5. Ensure you view “All apps” and select the desired app from the list
    6. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
    7. To exit Safe Mode, press and hold “Power” and “Restart” your phone normally
