    Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: If an app causes problems or takes up more storage than it should, you can try fixing it by clearing the app’s cache or data. WARNING: by clearing an app’s data, all of your data stored within the app will be lost. This includes save files, custom settings, login information etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app cache:

    1. On the home screen, swipe up from the bottom
    2. Launch “Settings” and go to “Apps & Notifications”
    3. Switch to “All apps” if necessary
    4. Select the desired app and access “Storage”
    5. Tap “Clear cache”
    6. If clearing the app cache didn’t fix the issues, tap “Clear data”

Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset:

NOTE: Before you factory reset the phone, make sure you back up all of your data.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Access “System” > “Reset options”
    3. To reset network settings, go to “Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth” and tap “Reset settings” two times
    4. To reset app settings, tap “Reset app preferences” > “Reset apps’
    5. To Factory reset the phone, tap “Erase all data (Factory reset)” > “Reset phone” > “Erase everything”

Reboot to Safe Mode and Remove Third-Party Apps:

NOTE: If a third-party app causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to remove the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.

    1. Press and hold “Power”
    2. In the power management pop-up, tap and hold “Power off”
    3. Wait for the device to finish rebooting
    4. Once done, a “Safe Mode” watermark should be visible in the lower area of the home screen
    5. To remove an app, launch “Settings” and go to “Apps & Notifications”
    6. Switch to “All apps’ if needed and select the desired app
    7. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
    8. Now you can exit Safe Mode by rebooting your phone normally
