Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: If an app causes problems or takes up too much storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these issues by clearing the app’s cache or data. WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all of your data stored within the app will be deleted, such as user profiles, personalized settings, login information etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app cache.

1. Swipe up from the bottom of the home screen and open “Settings”
2. Go to “Apps & Notifications”
3. Switch to “See all apps”
4. Select the desired app
5. Tap “Storage” > “Clear cache”
6. If clearing the app cache didn’t fix the issues, tap “Clear data”

Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset the Phone:

NOTE: Before factory resetting the phone, make sure you have backed up all of your data.

1. Open “Settings”
2. Go to “System” and tap “Reset options”
3. To reset network settings, tap “Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth” then tap “Reset” two times
4. To reset app settings, go to “Reset app preferences” and tap “Reset apps”
5. To factory reset the phone, tap “Erase all data (Factory Reset)” > “reset phone”
6. Tap “Erase everything”

Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall Apps:

NOTE: If a third-party app causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app while in Safe Mode. In this mode, all third-party apps are disabled.

1. Press and hold “Power”
2. From the power management pop-up, tap and hold “Power off”
3. Wait for the phone to finish rebooting. Once done, a “safe Mode” watermark should be visible in the lower area of the home screen
4. Open “Settings” and go to “Apps & Notifications”
5. Switch to “All apps” and select the desired app
6. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
7. To exit Safe Mode, reboot your device normally
