    Back Up & Restore App Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Go to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & Reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your account
    5. Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored automatically when reinstalling apps or logging in with the backup account

    Back Up & Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Select the desired account
    4. Ensure “Contacts” is checked
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts can be restored automatically when signing in with the backup account or by syncing the account data manually with the phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. When prompted on the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” from the Notification shade
    3. Launch the File Explore on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy the files and transfer them to the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once the transfer ends, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a PC:

    1. Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
    2. On the phone, enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Locate the media backup files on the PC storage
    5. Copy and paste the backup files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
    6. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
