    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. From the Notification area, drag the brightness slider towards the left side of the screen
    3. Open “settings” and go to “Display” for more options
    4. Optionally, turn “Adaptive brightness” ON or OFF
    5. For timeout options, tap “Sleep” and select a lower value

    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Go to “Device”
    3. Tap “Battery” > “Menu”
    4. Enable “Battery saver”

    Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

    NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features OFF when they are not actively in use to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

    1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “ Bluetooth” and “Location” quick toggles to disable the features
    3. For more GPS options, open “Settings” and go to “Location”
    4. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
    5. Go back to “Settings” and expand “Wireless & Networks”
    6. Disable “Tethering & Mobile Hotspot”

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: You can potentially improve battery life by changing the sync settings of your accounts.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and the desired account
    4. Change the available settings to reduce sync

    Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

    NOTE: Some third-party apps perform background processes regularly and thus you can potentially improve battery life by removing unused third-party apps from the phone.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Access “Apps” and switch to “All apps”
    3. Select the desired app
    4. Tap “Force Stop” / “Disable”
    5. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

    Keep the OS Updated:

    NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and thus it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “About phone”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Check if new updates are available for download
    5. If applicable, follow the prompts to download and install the update(s)
