Clear App Cache/Data:

NOTE: If an app on your phone doesn’t work as intended, you can try fixing it by clearing the app’s cache or data. WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted. This includes user profiles, login details, custom settings etc. To avoid losing personal app data, clear ONLY the app cache.

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Access “Apps & Notifications”
3. Switch to “All apps”
4. Select the desired app and go to “Storage”
5. Tap “Clear cache”
6. If clearing the app cache didn’t solve the issues, tap “Clear data” (Check the WARNING above)

Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset the Phone:

NOTE: Before you factory reset the phone, ensure all of your data has been backed up to avoid losing it.

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Go to “System” and tap “Reset options”
3. To reset network settings, go to “Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth” and tap “Reset” two times
4. To reset app settings, tap “Reset app preferences” > “Reset apps”
5. To factory reset the phone, tap “Erase all data (Factory Reset)” > “Reset phone” > “Erase Everything”

Uninstall Apps in Safe Mode:

NOTE: if a third-party app causes issues and prevents you from uninstalling it, you should be able to remove the app in Safe Mode. In this mode, all third-party apps are disabled by default.

1. Press and hold “Power”
2. In the power management pop-up, tap and hold “Power off”
3. Wait for the device to finish restarting. Once done, a “Safe Mode” watermark should be visible in the lower area of the home screen
4. To remove an app, first open “Settings”
5. Then go to “Apps & Notifications” and switch to “All apps”
6. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
7. To exit Safe Mode, reboot the phone normally
