    Master Resetting from the Settings Menu:

    WARNING! Master resetting your smartphone will restore it to factory settings. This results in loss of personal data stored on the internal storage, including ringtones, images, apps, downloaded content and more. Keep in mind that data stored on the SIM and / or SD card will not be affected.

    1. If necessary, back up your personal data
    2. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" button
    3. Tap "Settings" and go to the "Accounts" tab
    4. Tap "Backup and reset"
    5. If desired, clear the check boxes associated with "Automatic restore" and "Back up my data"
    6. Tap "Factory data reset" > "Reset device"
    7. In case you have screen lock enabled, you will be required to enter your PIN or password and tap "Continue"
    8. Tap "Delete all"


    Master Resetting Using Hardware Keys:

    WARNING! Master resetting your device will result in deletion of personal data stored on the phone's internal memory. This includes downloaded apps, content, images, custom ringtones, contacts etc. Content saved on the SIM and / or SD cards will not be affected.

    1. If necessary, back up all the data on your device
    2. Power off your smartphone
    3. Press and hold the "Volume Up", "Home" and "Power" buttons at the same time
    4. After the phone vibrates, release the "Power" button
    5. You can also release the "Volume up" and "Home" keys once the "Android System Recovery" appears
    6. Use the "Volume down" button to navigate to and highlight "wipe data / factory reset"
    7. Press the "Power" button to select the highlighted option
    8. Press "Volume down" until you highlight "delete all user data"
    9. Press "Power" again, and the device will apply the factory reset
    10. Lastly, with "Reboot system now" highlighted, press "Power" once more
