    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal”
    4. Tap “Backup & reset” and enable “Back up my data” to back up app data to your Google accounts
    5. Enable “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be automatically restored upon signing in with your Google backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
    3. Select the account type and account you want to use for contact syncing
    4. Enable “Contacts” if necessary
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be automatically restored when you sign in with your Google backup account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Moto E4 Plus to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the desired media files on the phone storage
    5. Copy and paste the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Moto device to your computer via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the PC storage
    5. Copy and transfer the files back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) of origin
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
