well the high end sony ericsson phones weren't meant for the bargain market... but it is worth the price of admission... nokia tends to saturate the market with phones that becomes obsolete after a couple of months... not a very good investment.

The 7650 is not far behind the 3650 in terms of spec. The 3650 loses some internal RAM (about 0.6mb) on the basis that it can be expanded but I have heard that it has problems with some software which needs a lot of free memory to run. The 3650 has the poor keypad and the IR port on the side which is irritating when there are great programs such as TV remotes out there (http://www.psiloc.com). Also the Bluetooth support is not complete, it only works with the Nokia HDW-2 apparently.

The Sony Ericssons are good (they aren't that much on Ebay) but I don't like the interface and would sooner choose a Nokia. SEs also seem to have irritating lags, which aren't fixed even in the newer models - the T9 texting is also different to Nokia which can be offputting at first.

Sorry, the Ericssons over priced, too small for a PDA and too big for a phone.

The 3650 is top untip the 6600 comes out. The 7650 has fewer functions and is a crap phone. The 3650 is a little plastic but best for shear power/value.

k0rrupter, the only decent phone with all of that I can think of is the Sony Ericsson T610 ( http://www.sonyericsson.com/uk/ ). It has everything you want and specified and is small.

And it's surprisingly cheap, at only £300 offline. The 6600 (Nokia) will mean waiting until after September (Nokia states released 2003 Q4) and things always get delayed.

    Negative views on the:
3650: stupid keypad layout, spoilt what could've been a truly great phone, poor INTERNAL RAM (I know you can expand it), IR port sits on side
7650: big, heavy, no audio Bluetooth, no RAM expansion (and it fills FAST - because there is such a lot of good software out there), battery life also sucks a bit, and only dual-band (but this doesn't bother me).

I think the 7650 costs more as it is targetting a different market, mainly the high-end market with its silver/sliding mechanism, the 3650 is appealing to teenagers/fashion conscious (hence the dumb keypad).

I bought the 7650 and would still buy it, solely on the basis that it is comfortable to use and that it doesn't have a round keypad.

i must agree.... 7650 is more expensive than the 3650... i just checked last weekend... Y?

anyway.. check out the 6600 before you decide which phone to get.... here's a pic of it.... it looks like the hybrid of both 7650 + 3650.... grrr... looks sexy... this time no circular keypad.

Looks great, i'd get one if I hadn't got my 7650. Damn!!!!

Siemens S55 is excellent - there's no built in camera, but the package comes with a tiny clip-on camera that's as good (if not better) than the one built-in to the Nokia 7650... and it's got a flash! It's also one of the few phones that supports type 10 GPRS, along with pretty much every other technology available on the market today... all that in a phone that's about the same size as a Nokia 8210. ^_^

What do u reccomend me to get, nokia 3650 or 7650. They both have the EXACT same options apart from the 3650 just has increased memory space (16MB memory card, 7650 4MB only - no memory card), other than that they're the same. E.g,

    They both have:
MMS, bluetooth, camera, video recorder (can be added to 7650), sound recorder etc.

    My Questions are:
    1. Which phone do u reccomend me to get and why - dispite the fact about the memory size?
    2. Is there another phone, not neccesarily Nokia make, that has blueooth, MMS, camera and video camera?
    3. Are there any negative views on the 3650 and/or 7650 (other than its size)
4.Why is the 7650 still more expensive than the 3650???

    Thank You.
