The message is sent by GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) time, a.k.a. World Time, the time zone against which all time zones are compared. Thus, East Coast in North America is GMT - 05:00 hrs, hence when you receive a message at 1:00 pm, GMT is 5 hrs plus, i.e. 6:00 pm.

Whenever I receive a text message, the indicator tells me that the time the text message is sent is 4 hours later than the *actual* time.

For example: I receive a text message at 9pm. The indicator on my phone will say "New Message received at 2am."

Does anyone know how to correct the clock on this phone?

Also, is there a function to disable to background wallpaper?
