First I installed the drivers for the USB cable and my 8100. I then loaded datapilot and opened the phone book on my PC. Then pluged in the phone and the numbers were downloaded to my PC. It was that easy, I guess I got all excited for nothing. Well C-YA around.

If you have Voice Command as part of your service, your phone book is automatically stored on the web and is easily transferable to your new phone.

(VC will also read your email to you and allow you to Reply email via voice so all of your email is hands free while you drive etc. VC will also read info such as news, sports, stocks, weather etc to you as you surf the web and perform voice dialing without pre-sets.)

    Hi All,

I managed to find a list of the 8100's menu in the users manual. If I manage to get to "PC SYNC" in the menu do I just have to press the OK button then start the sync software running on my computer? I should be getting my data cable tonight and I just want to be ready.

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hello Everyone,

I've got the Sanyo 8100 which was damaged while plowing snow last week . The phone work fine except for the fact that the display no longer works. Can someone please tell me how to get to "PC SYNC" on the menu. I want to download my phonebook and put it into my new (not 8100) phone. Thank you for your time.

    Mike
