I tried that but I could not figure out how to get it to work. When I edit using the HEX editor and overwrite the original file the game does not show up at all. And then when I reload the original file it says I need to restore the game but it will not download it.

Just looked at my phone and I don't see a .mif file.

I haven't tried this. I don't condone it. I don't know if it's legal. I accept no responsibilty if you mess up your phone. I hope it's not against forum rules, but this what I've seen:

    • How do I make a demo game unlimited?
1.) Go through GIN and find a game/application with a demo.
2.) Download the game to your phone.
3.) Either play it or don't.
Note: Some people have different views regarding this step. Some say to let the game expire. I say it doesn't matter due to the fact that you are altering the file. Wether you do it before or after it expires doesn't matter, in my opinion.
4.) Download the edited file, save it in a new folder called "games". Jot down its number on a piece of paper.
5.) Open bitpim, retrieve the filesystem and expand the brew folder.
6.) Locate the file by its number.
Note: Each game/app has two components. The first is the actual game file which includes game data, graphics, levels, and codes. The second is the .mif file that details your subscription/purchase of the game. This is the file we want to manipulate.
7.) Right-click it and select "overwrite".
8.) Locate the edited .mif file of the game or program you want to make unlimited.
9.) You will see "busy" or "writing to brew" at the bottom of the bitpim screen.
10.) Powercycle your phone, and check through GIN, under options, to see if you are successful.
    • How do I get a game if I don't have a demo?
1.) Download the edited file, save it in a folder you create called "games". Jot down its number on a piece of paper.
2.) Open bitpim, retrieve the filesystem and expand the brew folder.
3.) Right click on the word "brew".
    4.) Select "new file..".
5.) Find file you want to add in your "games folder.
6.) You will see "busy" or "writing to brew" at the bottom of the bitpim screen.
    7.) Powercycle your phone.
8.) Press down on your four way key to access GIN.
Note: You should see a game or app graphic/picture there. If not, you messed up. Try again.
    8.) Select the new file.
Note: You will get a white screen with text telling you that this application was disabled to save space. It then says to reenable press ok.
9.) Press OK to begin downloading the file.
Note: It should immediately begin downloading. If it loops the "white screen" then it is a bad file or you have done something wrong! Try again.
10.) After download is complete, enjoy!
    • How do I edit my own files?
Normally only done on demos to make them unlimited, a hex editor is used to modify the file and make the phone think it is unlimited.
    1.) Download a game demo.
2.) Hook your phone up to your cable.
3.) Run bitpim, view the fiesystem and expand the brew file.
4.) Right click on the .mif file that you want to manipulate and select "save...".
5.) Create a copy in whichever folder you saved it to. Don't rename the files. Just have two copies.
6.) Run the Hex Editor, which is found on this CD in the Programs folder, select "open" and find one of your copies.
7.) Woah! Lots of code. Scroll all the way down to the bottom. This will be our area of concentration.
8.) Starting at the end, you will see groups of two, like 00, 31, 66, etc. Each one of those pairs is considered a byte.
9.) Count back 16 bytes(pairs) and change the code to 02 03 FF FF FF FF.
    This makes the file unlimited.
10.) Save the file (DON'T change the file name!) in a different place than the other copy so you do not confuse them.
11.) Open bitpim again, expand the filesystem, expand brew folder, select the .mif you want to overwrite, right click it choosing"overwrite", and find the file you edited. Open it and save.
12.) Powercycle your phone and check your work

    • How do I know it worked?
1.) Select down on your four way key(GIN).
    2.) Select the shopping cart.
    3.) Go to options.
    4.) Find app/game you edited.
    5.) Select it.
    You will see:
    The name of the game.
    Who makes it.
    Subscription time left.
App size(which includes graphics, levels, etc.).
Data size(which can include where you last left off, or high scores).
6.) Your focus is on the subscription time left.
    Hopefully it is unlimited!

    using the datd cable right?

You CAN make an an expired game usable however? So instead of buying an unlimited game for 6.99 a person should just buy the subscription for 1.99?
