If you have a camera phone you can register at verizon website for a picture mailbox. the address will be (your number)vzwpix.com

Then just make your mp3 file change the extension to .mid and send it to that addresss it will automatically download to your phone, then just save it as a sound and you have your ringtone.

    Hi guys,

I was putting together a plan to do my own ringtones, and ended up here, after reading through some posts. I finally got everything working.

I just wanted to add this tidbit of info for those that might not know.

I can only claim this works for the lg 6100 cause thats what i have but, I know if i take an mp3 or a wav file and simply rename them to a ****.mid files and send them to my phone via *******vzwpix.com that the lg 6100 will take them and save them as sound files.

Only thing I dont know yet is whats the biggest file I can use. If anyone knows an absolute size I would appreciate a post with that number to save me a little money in experimenting.
