well you'll need a data cable, webjal and you'll change the name the pic you want for the startup screen carrier.img (replaces nextel logo) text_img (replaces T9textentry logo) browser_img (replaces the web logo) java_img (replaces the java apps logo)

Yea all of the above, but he left out one
pwrdown_img - this will change the image of the powerdown screen

ahh yes very true!! but can you replace it be replaced with an animated gif like what is used now??

Yea you can have an animate gif for your powerdown image
