i want a new phone because my i1000 plus is a piece of crap. i heard you can get the sim card from the one phone and put it in another. i was wondering how you get to the card and then put it in the new phone. i am thinking about getting the i730 because it seems to be the best one.... maybe not...i dont know ...i just need some help in getting a new phone and not having to pay a bunch of money to get it activated. thank you

If you go to a NRS/nextel retail store they will give you like $5 i think for your old phone or you can activate it for like $30 and put a cheap plan with just DC on it and give it to a GF/BF etc..... or you can keep it as a spare if somthin happens you your new one.... thats what i did.

the i1000 doesn't actually have a sim card...NRS can perform a data transfer for you and activate a new sim. your best deals on the phones will be to sign up for a 2 year contract. because you've had nextel for awhile, i don't think you'll mind doing that.

The i530 $50 mail in rebate and the i730 $75 instant rebate may end this month. You might want to make the move before hand. If the center you buy it from wants to charge you $15 to copy the data from you old phone to the new one (which is normal) and may be rolled into the upgrade price. Don't pay it, insted buy the data cable and do it yourself. With the cable you can load your own ringtones and wallpapers(i730) and have a backup copy of your data.
