Hello, 2 days so far with nextel and things are good. Question is does anyone know if they offer monthly discounts like sprint did? I did have sprint prior and with my company they offered a 24% bill reduction (volume of employee discount) so far customer service has not given me a answer in stone...thanks.

depend on where you live and it your company has a contract with Nextel or not. nextel give out very good discounts if you work for a large company such as UPS but will also give a 10% discount if you are a volunteer of some sort or a member of a non-profit organization and many others.

Call a account service representative and complain about bad service in your area. I dont get good service around my home so i called and got 15% off my bill for the length of my contract. It took me about 45min of complaining but after threatening to leave they discounted 15% on both of my phones.
When i worked for fedex we got 10% off sprint and nextel and cingular. 15% off verizon. There was some special webpage when i had sprint that showed the discounts. This was 3-4 years ago but i would still think it is still going on.

well the company has to sign a contract with nextel extending the discounts to the employees. Generally they need 60+ Nextel's on their account alone to be eligible. the discount varies from 30% to 1% off the monthly and 34% to no discount off equiptment and accessories. Ask your mother if they are affiliated with any other companies an example would be pepsi they own are affiliated with all these companies so they get the discount on to the sub companies also:

You can call 1-800-390-9545 and just keep press the 0 until it transfers you to a live person (if you put in a number it will transfer you away from corp care). Ask that person if they are corp care. If they are then you can ask if your mother is eligible for a discount. Or your mom can ask the person at her company who handles the Nextel if they are a major account with VPL. Or if you want I could look it up but their system is more up to date and accurate.
