i730 question

ok so i have a i730 which other carriers can i use if i get it unlocked?
or can i only use nextel and boost. i heard someone say that if u unlock a boost or nextel that u can use any other phone carriers i want to kno whether its tru or not

only nextel, boost, southern linc and telus in canada. that is it nothing else

and it is already unlocked for boost. just put the sim in.
