    Is it safe to use an old phone (i275) to charge your spare battery or is it best to buy a battery charger? Facts needed but opinions welcomed!

    yes, as long as the phone is not damaged in any way (ie. water damage). The phone has intelligent charging system built in to it, as do most desktop chargers but, if you buy an aftermarket desk top the quality of the phone is better.
