Okay so I have my i275 and my i275 manual sitting right in front of me and this is definitely not making any sense. It says to go to your ring tones menu, select the ringtone you want to assign, and then select "A Contact". Under my list of things to assign the ringtone to, I most certainly don't have this option...odd? Urgh...I would've been better off just switching to a Sprint phone.

now that nextel and sprint are merging, i *think* you have 14 days to return it and cancel the contract because that's a sprint policy on new contracts, so if it's a new purchase make sure you are happy with it before 14 days is up! i called sprint to see about getting a different phone on the 16th day and it was tough luck for me, even though the new phone was more expensive and they would have been making money.
if nobody here is able to help you after a day or two, maybe you can take it to a sprint store? i dont know how close you are to one, but they could help you figure it out. or possibly call them, i have been very pleased with sprint's customer service, i hope nextel is as friendly and helpful as the sprint half.
remember with the holiday the forum might not have as much traffic as usual.
good luck, hope this helps!

did you put your sim card in from an older phone, because that would prohibit you from assigning ringtones

Maybe that's the cause of the whole me not being able to find the right format for my ringtones too? (See my other post)
