New or used?
You can take it to an ASC to get it swaped for $35. If its new they can do motorola warrently claim

used for like a month then my friend reported it lost n sold it 2 me

if you u still need help with your phone let me know

Its possible for it to be on the negative file if he reported it lost.

Does it turn on in FlashStrap Mode? Hold down the * and # buttons while pushing the PWR ON button to see if it boots into the programming mode.

If it does, you might still have a chance of recovering it. Ask your friend if he's ever had the phone modded through the codeplug. If he has then it's likely he has an original codeplug backup someone on one of the iden sites. Or maybe you've had it modded before it crapped out on you?

If you find the original codeplug then you can boot it into flashstrap mode and load the codeplug to it. You may need to rename the codeplug to your phone's serial number and drop it in the BACKUP CODEPLUGS directory of your RSS Folder then try a RECOVERY.
