I've been on the phone with Nextel for nearly an hour. I keep receiving junk text messages about "Rolex watches". Whoever sends these messages does not leave a phone number so there is no way I can tell them to stop. I get them all hours of the day/night. Every time I get a text message, I am charged by Nextel. I have entered my phone number on the "do not call" registry, but it's still happening. Nextel says it will cost me $20 for them to tell me the number of who is placing these unwanted messages. They also told me I can change my phone number. I do not want to do this because I just paid to have cards printed up with my name, address and phone number on them. Can anyone please help me. I really appreciate it.

Call nextel and tell them to block in/out going text, and block the web too, some text use web to get to you. If you dont want to block these features the only option is changing phone number, trust me on this one, I get a bunch of customers with this problem.

replying STOP or QUIT usually fixes these things up.

If they are SMS messages, getting rid of them can be a pain. Call care, ask for wireless web support, and make sure you have at least one of them saved on the phone
