I just bought an i275 from a vendor as an "upgrade" to the i730 I have, it tells me "Please wait to enter special code". I don't know what to do and am looking for help. I have a data cable if that will help at all at unlocking the phone.

And yes I noticed I screwed up the title....

That normally happens when someone inserted an incompatible sim card on the phone. Insert a boost sim card, it will say please wait to enter special code, wait about 20 to 30 min and that "please wait to enter special code will change to "enter special code". Now just remove the battery without powering the phone off and insert the nextel sim card back to the phone, power the phone on and it should take care of the problem.

    Re: Helping "unlocking" an i275

The reason for this prompt is the phone has a subsidy lock turned on and the phone is locked to a carrier that differs from the sim in the phone. In most cases this happens when you buy a boost phone and insert a Nextel sim. There are several carriers that market the iDEN system and most often they lock their phones to their network. Being new here I am not sure of this sites policy on speaking of it but there is away to unlock the phone but I will let someone more familiar with CPF rules elaborate or not…
