I was with a friend who has the 6200 and I have the 6620 but we were unable to send pics and ringtones between the phone with the infrared feature.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

Im not sure about when transferring between 2 phones, but from my laptop to my 3200, my phone is usually 6 inches from the port, and not straight in line either.

The IR in the older s40 phones like 6200/7250/7210 etc is CRIPPLED.. meaning u can only send pics/tones to it via a computer and not via another device (pda, phone etc). The IR in newer s40 phones like 3200/6230 etc is NOT CRIPPLED and can send/receive pics/tones from other devices as well as a computer.

OK, I'm fedup with this infrared BS...

I have tried all distances, types of files, photos, contacts, everything and I even read on the nokia site that 36 inches is prefered and nothing.

If anyone has a reccomendation I would appreciate it.

    I have the 6620 and 6200...

Ok to make sure I'm pointing the correct things at each other. Please take a look and tell me if I circled the wrong part on the phones.

    thank you.
