Flip/Clamshell

I am interested in upgrading my Nokia phone and signing up for a new plan. I notice Nokia only markets 'open face' phones. I was considering a 'clamshell/flip' phone but would primarily prefer to stay with Nokia regardless of the phone. Are there any negatives to 'clamshell/flip' phones and any reasons Nokia does not market them?

check nokia web site the plan th realese a flip phone soon. I personaly believe that the only diffrence between flip and non-flip (when they have equal specification) is a personal prefrence.
