    I'm sure that this firmware update works great, however, let me tell you a quick firmware update horror story. I once tried to update the firmware on a DVD player that I had on an old Powerbook to make it a cross-regional player. The update did not work properly and I ended up with a DVD player that needed to be replaced. There was no firmware support of course because the update was a hack. Just remember that firmware is the root instruction manual for your hardware device and if anything goes wrong you will likely need to replace the device (or have the pre-installed firmware updated).
