Hey there all cellphoneforums.net dudes! I just discovered an old Nokia 2680s-2 in my drawer. Please check the Intro Sub-Forum Post "MacReaper is here!" (couldn't link it because of "To be able to post links or images your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. This measure was put in place to prevent spam.") for details.

I want to write an OS for it and increase the internal memory and RAM. What programming language can I learn? And how can I load it onto the cellphone?

You would need to get very familiar with Java and how it interfaces with the phone's hardware. You also need to find a tool that updates the phone via usb.

Thanks. I think this will help me: ww w. supportive hands. net/2012/09/how-to-flash-dead-nokia-mobile-phones.html

The problem is I'm using OS X, and the software mentioned there is for Windows. Maybe I can get a Mac Version or I'll use Crossover.

Can you give me some suggestions where I can get familiar with java and how it works with the nokia hardware (i.e. some links)?

    Thanks.

    Anyone?

Samsung Galaxy Y:Once was soft-bricked, but after lots of searching found the correct firmware, and the correct version of Odin, and flashed it. Now works perfectly.
Nemesis (the ROM) screwed it up.
