Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Nokia 3 to your computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer and find the desired audio files on the PC storage
- Copy and paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones”, “Notifications”, “Alarms” folder(s)
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap “Apps” on the home screen
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device”
- Tap “Sound & Notification” and select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK” to confirm
- Optionally, you can enable or disable “Also vibrate for calls”
Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts stored on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.
- Launch “Contacts”
- Tap and hold the contact whose ringtone you want to change
- Tap “Edit” > “Menu”
- Tap “Set ringtone” and select the ringtone you want to use
- Tap “OK” to confirm
Change the Notification Sound:
- Launch “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & Notification”
- Tap “Default notification ringtone”
- Select the desired notification sound and tap “OK” to confirm
