Share iPhone Contacts with Google via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Nokia 6.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer and access the “Info” section
- Enable “Sync Contacts With”
- From the drop-down menu, select “Google Contacts”
- Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to begin the sync. Once the sync is done, switch to the Nokia 6 and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Go to https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to “Contacts” and select the desired contacts
- Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
- After the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts”, or:
- Connect the Nokia 6 to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it
Using “My Contacts Backup”:
NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap “Backup”
- Once the backup file is done, tap “Email”
- Compose a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and vCard to your own email address
- Switch to the Nokia 6, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts”
Using “Send Anywhere”:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use for transferring contacts is Send Anywhere. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types without requiring a computer.
- Launch the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
- Open the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Nokia 6
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
- Select the desired transfer method, such as “Generate QR Code” or “Receive”, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
