Back Up App Data:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Personal”
- Tap “Backup & Reset”
- Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and passwords to your account
- Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data, settings, and passwords to be restored the next time you sign in with the backup account
Back Up Contacts:
- Launch “Settings”
- Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
- Select an account type and the account you want to use for contact syncing
- Tick the “Contacts” check box then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”
NOTE: You can restore contacts by syncing them with your device or when you sign in with the account.
Back Up Media Files on a PC:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media files on the phone storage
- Transfer the files to the desired backup location on the PC
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Restore Media Files from a PC:
- Connect the Nokia device to the computer via USB
- Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media backup files on the PC storage
- Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
